Saint Paul DFL Endorses Coleman for Re-Election

Over 500 DFLers from across Saint Paul gathered at Washington Technology Magnet School Saturday morning to discuss priorities and Endorse candidates for the 2013 election. Mayor Chris Coleman received very strong support and was endorsed by acclamation. More information about the Chris Coleman campaign can be found on his website http://www.chriscoleman.org/

Most of the day was spent discussing and debating the School Board endorsements. There were six impressive candidates, but only three slots open for endorsement. In the end the convention chose to endorse incumbents Jean O’Connell and John Brodrick along with exciting new candidate Chue Vue.

Chue Vue is an exciting first time candidate. He is the former chair of the Hmong American Partnership. He is a lawyer and public school parent that gained the endorsement on the first ballot. More information can be found at http://www.chueforschoolboard.com/

Jean O’Connell is a former 3M executive running for her second term. She brings great executive experience and is respected by community, business and labor leaders for her ability to bring people together to find solutions.
