This is a historic year for our city.
It’s incredibly bittersweet to see Council President Amy Brendmoen (Ward 5), Councilmember Chris Tolbert (Ward 3), Councilmember Jane Prince (Ward 7), School Board Director Jeannie Foster (At-Large), and School Board Director Jessica Kopp (At-Large) part ways from leadership positions and move forward with other endeavors.
Saint Paul DFL extends an enormous note of gratitude for their years of public service to our communities, especially in unprecedented times that our state and country have experienced. Thank you for your tenacity, passion, and care for our city.
With this transition of leadership means a change to our city that is unlike what we have seen before. We have the opportunity to elect the most diverse slate of school board and city council candidates in the history of Saint Paul. A slate of candidates who will not only bring a wealth of knowledge, decades of organizing experience, and community voices, but will bring heart and resilience to serve our most vulnerable and underserved neighbors.
